INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR A SAFER FUTURE

S-A-B GATE

The S-A-B Gate offers quick access to the central reserve barrier on a dual-carriageway or motorway, allowing for emergency vehicles to cross over lanes or for traffic to be diverted when their are accidents.

No tools are required for opening, the system can be opened at any joint in its length, is modular and easily broken into small sections needing no foundations.

Opening

The S-A-B gate system is unique and can be opened fully or in part as required quickly and also by hand, without the need for any tools.

It can be connected to concrete step barriers and any concrete or steel barrier.

Operations & Capabilities

The S-A-B Gate can be safely opened and closed, partially or totally, without expensive electrical power tools or sophisticated control systems; in under 10 minutes.

This is extremely useful to Highway agencies and local
governments needing this capability  for emergency vehicle access and evacuation, traffic re-routing, and work zone and maintenance applications. The S-A-B system allows impact absorption with reduced dynamic deflection and redirection of small and heavy vehicles at a small angle. Its special feature is that it can be opened fully or in part as required, quickly and without the need of special equipment.

Standards, Testing & Performance

The S-A-B Gate has been tested to EN1317-2  passing TB11 &  TB51  achieving containment N2 & H2.

Tested to Highways England BS EN 1317 Part 2 at performance levels N2 and H2

Unit Measurements

Several units can be joined together to suit various opening widths. They are double-hinged, constructed from thrie-beam with a lower rectangular rail all attached to a sturdy diaphragm framework. Each unit has wheels which when deployed, allow individual sections or the complete ‘gate’ to be opened.

Applications

The S-A-B gate is a reinforced steel gate, designed for emergency openings, contraflow applications, emergency crossing points (ECPs) and motorway crossing points (MCPs).
