Amberon Instaboom Trial: A success in Peterborough

The Amberon Peterborough Depot has successfully trialled the Instaboom Incursion Gate.

Instaboom was used on the Bretton Park Way resurfacing scheme in Peterborough. Works access was required behind a road closure so Instaboom acted as a second layer behind cones, in case there were any deliberate or accidental incursions made.

Instaboom allowed works vehicles safe access to the site, offering protection to the road workers up ahead carrying out the resurfacing. Instaboom is a portable and easily deployable solar-powered gate, just requiring a quick battery charge every couple of weeks. The gate is opened by remote control, ensuring vehicles that are not permitted to enter the site are halted from doing so.

Positive customer feedback

The Peterborough depot of Amberon were delighted at how Instaboom worked and kept their traffic management workers safe.

Adam Tilley, Amberon Peterborough Depot Manager said:

"We hired an Instaboom for three weeks for projects run out of our Peterborough depot.

We used it on job Bretton Park Way resurfacing scheme in Peterborough to prevent vehicle incursions and protect our traffic management workers while carrying out motorway maintenance.

I would highly recommend the Instaboom, it was reliable and prevented several vehicle incursions, keeping my work force safe and saving the company resource by not requiring a TM worker to man the exclusion zone. I will definitely be looking to hire more Instaboom via Highway Care."
