Highway Care Appoints New Member of the Leadership Team

We are pleased to announce we have appointed Mark Tonks to join our senior leadership team to support and enhance the implementation of our ambitious growth strategy.

Mark is a well-respected business leader and industry expert having spent over 30 years working in the highways sector, most recently as Managing Director of Hill and Smith PLC’s Infrastructure Products Group, where he successfully managed the alignment of management teams and delivery of robust strategies across their international portfolio of group companies.

Mark says: “A fantastic opportunity for me to work with the Highway Care team at this stage of their journey. I’m hoping both my experience and knowledge of the Industry adds some real value. There’s an exciting future ahead for all stakeholders within Infrastructure and I’m looking forward to bringing a professional and positive attitude.”

Building on our growing successful integration with key tier 1 contactors and a portfolio of market leading work-zone protection solutions, we are in a prime position to support the UK Government’s Road Investment Strategy, particularly through its Regional Delivery Programme and Smart Motorway Alliances as well as wider transport infrastructure projects such as HS2, delivering critical infrastructure to build a “Greater Britain” and help kickstart the post pandemic economy.

Finally, Internationally, we are expanding the international business through the commercialisation of our newly accepted HighwayGuard® temporary TL4 work-zone barrier, principally in North America and Australasia.

Antony Butcher spoke about how this will benefit our innovative journey, going forward into 2021:

“2021 is a pivotal year for our business with a number of key innovations coming to market and it is critical we have in place an agile and experienced team to successfully deliver this alongside already challenging day to day business conditions.

Mark brings a wealth of experience and knowledge and will by hugely beneficial in helping the team realise these ambitions”.

We look forward to welcoming Mark onboard and striving to reach our 2021 end goals.
